I am always amazed that $25 & $35 payments will prevent any dead beat parent from going to jail. Now when I say this, I mean like only paying this amount every 6 months. So I can be owed $1000's but only has to pay a fraction in order to avoid punishment.
It would just be nice to even know what if feels like to have a real father for my kids. Someone who wanted to spend time with them or support them in any way. Someone who put himself last instead of before his kids. Alas, that would be me.
There will be a day when these men are old and all they have are the reflections of their past and when they are calling people to come and help them off the porch in into the hopsital or wheelchair or for anything they can no longer do for themselves, I hope they remember all the times they didn't do one thing to help their children.
